WLA ANNOUNCES COACH AND ROOKIE OF THE YEAR!


COACH OF THE YEAR

Burnaby, BC – The WLA is pleased to present the 2025 Coach of the Year Award to Steve McKinlay from the Coquitlam Adanacs. McKinlay’s commitment to the Adanacs has earned him this award for the second consecutive year.

ROOKIE OF THE YEAR

Burnaby, BC – The WLA is pleased to present the 2025 Rookie of the Year Award to Silas Richmond from the Burnaby Lakers. Richmond totaled 54 points this season, with 30 goals, 24 assists in only 16 games.

The Western Lacrosse Association (WLA) is an amateur league of men’s Senior A box lacrosse sanctioned by the Canadian Lacrosse Association. It consists of seven teams, based in cities throughout southwestern British Columbia. Each year, the playoff teams battle for the right to compete against the Major Series Lacrosse champion for the Mann Cup every September. The championship is hosted alternately between Ontario and British Columbia every year.
