LANGLEY MAKE THEIR COMEBACK IN THE GAME OF THE WEEK

For Week 5’s Vancouver Warriors WLA Game of the Week, The Langley Thunder took on the Maple Ridge Burrards at home, for the first time since the 2024 playoffs. 


The first period showed a defensive standoff between both teams. #81 Anthony Kalinich opened the scoring for the game, and the Burrards with his first goal at 10:18. The Burrards closed the first period leading the score 1-0. 


Both teams came out swinging in the second period with 2 for the Burrards, and 7 for the Thunder. #10 Riley Loewen opens the game with an early goal from #89 Marcus Klarich and #22 Brayden Laity. Langley bounces back quickly with a 3 goal run from #87 Chase Scanlan, and #3 Connor Robinson. Followed not long by another 4 goal streak heading into the third period. 


Langley head into the third period leading the score 7-3.


Burrards bounced back quickly in the 3rd period, with their own 4 goal scoring streak. #12 Garret Winter ties up the game 7-7 with his second goal of the game at 12:38. With only 47 seconds left, #19 Jon Phillips scores the final goal of the game, securing the win for Langley.
