NEW WEST VICTORIOUS AGAINST VICTORIA

In one of the most anticipated games of the season, The New West Salmonbellies hosted the Victoria Shamrocks for the first time since the 2024 Playoffs.
Victoria set the tone early, with their 1st goal at 1:05 by #3 Marshal King. Not long after, New West responds with their 1st goal by #16 Mitch Jones at 2:16, to even the score. This back and forth continued through the entirety of the first period featuring 3 goal scoring streaks by both Victoria and New West.
New West closes the first period, leading the game 6-5.
The second period began with a milestone goal by #26 Adam Wiedemann, as he gained his first goal as a Salmonbellie with the help of #14 Brandon Goodwin. The second period continued, with each team trading pairs of goals, right until the buzzer.
Entering the third period, New West lead 7-8, and quickly gained another with a goal from #18 Logan Schuss. New West maintains the lead throughout the third period, eventually finishing strong with game changing goals from #11 Jacob Ruest, and #16 Mitch Jones.
The Salmobellies secured the win after 3 hard fought periods, finishing the game 12-9. Unsurprisingly, 1st star of the game goes to #16 Mitch Jones from the Salmobellies, with 3 goals, 5 assists, totalling 8 points. 2nd star goes to #3 Marshal King from the Victoria Shamrocks, with 1 goal, and 5 assists. Lastly, the 3rd star of the game goes to #18 Logan Schuss who secured 3 goals, 2 assists, totaling 5 points.
