Western Lacrosse Association Releases Playoff Schedule
Adanacs, Burrards, Timbermen, & Shamrocks to Battle for Mann Cup Berth

Burnaby, BC – The Western Lacrosse Association (WLA) has finalized the schedule for the 2026 Playoffs, with the eventual winner will travel to Ontario to take on the Major Series Lacrosse (MSL) champion for the 2026 Mann Cup Canadian Sr. A Championship.
The Adanacs, Burrards, Shamrocks and Timbermen, have locked down playoff positions and get set for their round one, best-of-five semi-final matchups beginning Tuesday August 4th.
Despite six games remaining in the WLA regular season schedule, the playoff matchups are set. The Victoria Shamrocks have locked up 1st Place and close their season out with a game against the Salmonbellies at Queen’s Park Arena, July 30. They will face their Vancouver Island rivals, Nanaimo Timbermen who will finish in 4th place. The Maple Ridge Burrards, who host the Salmonbellies Tuesday July 28, will finish in 2nd place and take on the Coquitlam Adanacs who will finish in third place.
The winners of each best-of-five semi-final series will advance to the WLA finals, a best-of-seven series to determine the WLA Champion. The WLA Champion will advance to the Mann Cup Championship and travel east to take on the eventual MSL champion from Ontario starting on Friday, September 11th.
Of note, playoff overtime rules are in effect, meaning if a game is tied after regulation time, there will be a five-minute break, followed by a ten-minute sudden victory overtime period. If the game is still tied, there will be an additional five-minute intermission, followed by a ten-minute sudden victory overtime period.

The Western Lacrosse Association (WLA) is an amateur league of men’s Senior A box lacrosse sanctioned by the Canadian Lacrosse Association. It consists of seven teams, based in cities throughout southwestern British Columbia. Each year, the playoff teams battle for the right to compete against the Major Series Lacrosse champion for the Mann Cup every September. The championship is hosted alternately between Ontario and British Columbia every year.
