the WLA mourns the passing of Mike Kettles

Today we mourn the passing of Mike Kettles, a beloved member of the lacrosse community and a devoted family man.

Michael was raised in Ladner, BC, where he played minor and intermediate lacrosse. He went on to play for the Burnaby Lakers Jr. A club, and was eventually drafted by the New Westminster Senior A Salmonbellies. During his time with the Bellies, Mike helped them win two Mann Cups, and was part of the 1980's Salmonbellies teams recently inducted into the CLHOF, cementing his legacy as a champion.

Off the floor, Mike was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He was never short of ideas for his next adventure, but he always made sure to prioritize his family above all else. His devotion to hiwife and children was unparalleled, and he will be remembered as a loving husband and father.

Mike will be remembereas a great lacrosse player and a devoted family man. He will be deeply missed.  RIP Mike.
