Today we mourn the passing of Mike Kettles, a beloved member of the lacrosse community and a devoted family man.
Michael was raised in Ladner, BC, where he played minor and intermediate lacrosse. He went on to play for the Burnaby Lakers Jr. A club, and was eventually drafted by the New Westminster Senior A Salmonbellies. During his time with the Bellies, Mike helped them win two Mann Cups, and was part of the 1980's Salmonbellies teams recently inducted into the CLHOF, cementing his legacy as a champion.
Off the floor, Mike was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing.He was never short of ideas forhis next adventure, but he always made sure to prioritize his family above all else. His devotion to his wife andchildren was unparalleled, and he will be remembered as a loving husband and father.
Mike will be remembered as a great lacrosse player and a devoted family man. He will bedeeply missed. RIP Mike.
