WLA ANNOUNCES TOP SCORER & 3-STAR AWARD
Burnaby, BC – The WLA is pleased to present the 2025 Scoring Leader Award to Mitch Jones from the New West Salmonbellies. Jones has been a dominant force in the offensive end for the duration of the 2025 season, finishing with 40 goals, 48 assists in 17 games played. An veteran offensive player, and skilled scorer for the Salmonbellies who continues to be a force.

The 3-Star award is presented to the player who is awarded the most stars of the game throughout the season. This year, the award is presented to Marcus Klarich from the Maple Ridge Burrards. Klarich, only in his second season in the WLA, was awarded 1st/2nd star 4 times, and 3rd star 3 times, totaling 220 star points in only 17 games.

The Western Lacrosse Association (WLA) is an amateur league of men’s Senior A box lacrosse sanctioned by the Canadian Lacrosse Association. It consists of seven teams, based in cities throughout southwestern British Columbia. Each year, the playoff teams battle for the right to compete against the Major Series Lacrosse champion for the Mann Cup every September. The championship is hosted alternately between Ontario and British Columbia every year.
